Meet Logan in his Weapon X incarnation with this POP! Premium No. 1659 figure produced by Funko. Inspired by the experimental programme that transformed Wolverine by fusing adamantium to his skeleton, this figure highlights one of the most memorable and brutal periods in the character’s history.
Weapon X is depicted in his experimental form, with his adamantium claws extended and the equipment associated with the programme’s experiments. This release also features a Chase variant: in this rarer version, Logan wears an experimental helmet. There is a 1 in 6 chance of receiving this Chase variant, which is allocated at random and without guarantee upon purchase.
Depending on the variant received, the bobblehead measures approximately 12.7 to 13 cm in height. Made from vinyl, this Premium version retains the traditional wobbling head of the Marvel POP! range and comes in a display box numbered 1659.

Weapon X refers here to Logan, alias Wolverine, during the period when he was captured and subjected to experiments as part of the programme of the same name. Marvel presents Weapon X as a Canadian branch of the Weapon Plus Programme, a vast project designed to create super-soldiers. Logan is chosen as a test subject largely due to his extraordinary mutant healing factor, which enables him to survive a procedure that would normally be fatal.
Under the supervision of scientists associated with the programme, his skeleton is coated in adamantium, a virtually indestructible metal. The process also reinforces his natural claws, turning them into extremely durable metallic weapons. Marvel states that Logan’s healing factor enables him to withstand the adamantium implant where other test subjects would have struggled to survive.
The experiments are not, however, limited to his body. Weapon X also subjects Logan to mental conditioning and memory manipulation, driving him into a particularly savage and uncontrollable state. He eventually escapes the programme, but for a long time retains significant gaps in his memory regarding his past and the exact circumstances of his transformation.
Following this period, Logan gradually became one of the best-known members of the X-Men, under the name Wolverine. His adamantium skeleton, retractable claws, healing factor and highly developed senses became the central features of his fighting style.
POP! Premium No. 1659 specifically chooses to depict the Weapon X era, before Logan became fully associated with the classic Wolverine costume. The inclusion of a Chase variant wearing the experimental helmet reinforces this reference to the laboratories and the conditioning he underwent during the programme.
