History and background of the model
TheInvisible Man is one of the mythical figures of Universal Pictures' golden age of horror films. Inspired by H.G. Wells' famous 1933 science fiction novel, mad scientist Jack Griffin - played on screen by actor Claude Rains under the direction of James Whale - became the icon of tragic invisibility. The character is instantly recognisable in popular culture by his dark glasses, his bathrobe and, above all, the strips of fabric masking his facelessness.
Produced by Funko, this figurine pays tribute to the sacred monsters of black-and-white fantasy cinema, while featuring the "Chase" collectible mechanism that is so sought-after by Funko fans.
