Origin and universe of the character
Released in 1982 by Disney Studios, TRON is a groundbreaking science-fiction feature film, acclaimed for its pioneering use of digital special effects and computer-generated imagery. The story follows Kevin Flynn, a brilliant video game designer whose creations have been stolen by his former employer, the multinational corporation ENCOM. Whilst attempting to hack into the system to prove his authorship, Flynn is physically digitised by the security laser and projected into the Grid, an oppressive virtual world. In this digital world where programmes take on human form and battle each other in deadly gladiatorial games, he must team up with the security programme Tron to defeat the tyrannical Master Control Program (MCP) and escape. This Funko Pop! figurine faithfully captures the iconic retro-futuristic look of actor Jeff Bridges in his digital outfit, making it an absolute must-have for all cult film enthusiasts.
