Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Forky is the central character introduced in Toy Story 4. Made by young Bonnie on her first day at nursery school from a plastic fork and spoon, pipe cleaners and a popsicle stick, he has an immediate existential crisis: he refuses to accept his status as a toy and remains deeply convinced that he is waste destined for the bin. Woody sets himself the task of looking after him and making him understand his cultural and emotional value to the little girl. His encounter with Gabby Gabby, a defective 1950s doll living in an antique shop and desperate to find a child to love, prompts the characters to redefine what it means to be someone's toy.
