Origin and character’s universe
Introduced in 1999 in the hit sequel *Toy Story 2*, Al McWhiggin is the dishonest manager of ‘Al’s Toy Barn’. Recognisable by his portly figure, his bald head and the giant chicken costume he wears in his tragicomic local TV adverts, he is an obsessive collector. It is he who steals Woody at a car boot sale in order to complete his ultra-rare collection of the 1950s ‘Western Woody’ (Woody’s Roundup) series, with the aim of selling it to a toy museum in Tokyo. This exclusive figurine, released to mark the 30th anniversary of the Pixar franchise, perfectly captures the features of this eccentric villain, who is an integral part of the saga. It is a must-have item for all fans keen to expand their collection.
