Meet Tom, Jerry’s tireless rival, with this POP! Animation No. 2582 figurine produced by Funko for the Tom & Jerry Gokko collection. This new figure strikes a particularly gentle and endearing pose: the famous cat is seated, with his hind legs turned forwards and his paws clasped together in front of his belly. The figure stands approximately 8.6 cm tall.
The design captures Tom’s key features in a stylised interpretation: blue fur, a white muzzle, pink inner ears and a white tip to his tail. His smiling expression, with his tongue slightly sticking out, deliberately contrasts with the grimaces and chaotic situations the character is usually associated with. The pink paw pads visible beneath his paws emphasise the compact and cute appearance of this Gokko version.

Tom is one of the two main characters in Tom & Jerry, an animated series created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. His daily life revolves mainly around his rivalry with Jerry, a little mouse who shares his environment and almost always manages to outwit his traps. This rivalry is based largely on visual comedy and slapstick, featuring chases, traps and a series of mishaps.
Tom is portrayed as a domestic cat who happily spends his time sleeping or eating when he isn’t busy trying to catch Jerry. Despite all the energy he puts into devising his plans, his adversary is generally quick and resourceful enough to escape him. The two characters speak relatively little, leaving expressions, movements and physical gags to carry the bulk of the narrative.
Their relationship, however, is not limited to mere opposition. Throughout the various productions, Tom and Jerry alternate between being adversaries and temporary allies, sometimes cooperating when a threat or a particular situation demands it. This duality between constant rivalry and mutual affection is one of the enduring features of the franchise.
POP! No. 2582 deliberately moves away from the traditional chase scenes to present a calm, seated Tom with a particularly cheerful expression. This portrayal thus highlights the character’s more endearing side whilst retaining his instantly recognisable appearance.
