Origin and character background
Manjiro Sano, better known by his formidable alias "Mikey the Invincible", is one of the central characters in the hit series Tokyo Revengers, the Shonen manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui between 2017 and 2022, which comprises 31 volumes in total. As the undisputed leader and founding member of the famous Tokyo Manjikai (Toman) biker gang, he lays down his own laws on the streets thanks to his keen sense of honour and his devastating martial arts fighting techniques. Despite his youthful appearance and his love for simple, friendly bonds, he harbours a deep and destructive dark side that the protagonist, Takemichi Hanagaki, desperately attempts to change by travelling through time. Banpresto has applied all its expertise here to faithfully reproduce the gang’s official uniform as well as the unique, laid-back attitude of this iconic figure of Japanese delinquent culture.
