Meet Embo, the fearsome Kyuzo bounty hunter first seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with this articulated action figure from the Star Wars The Vintage Collection range produced by Hasbro. This new figure is directly inspired by his appearance in the film *Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu* and features the classic 3.75-inch (approx. 9.5 cm) scale that is the hallmark of the collection.
The figure features sculpting and detailing inspired by his live-action appearance, with multiple points of articulation allowing for a variety of poses. Embo is a bounty hunter from Phatrong and a member of the Kyuzo species. A man of few words but highly effective, he is distinguished by his mastery of the bowcaster and his large, circular metal hat. This is not merely an item of clothing: Embo can use it as a shield or as a projectile, giving him an instantly recognisable fighting style.
He first appears in season 2 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as part of the team of bounty hunters led by Sugi. On this occasion, the group temporarily allies itself with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano to defend farmers against Hondo Ohnaka’s pirates. Throughout the Clone Wars, Embo also works with bounty hunters such as Cad Bane and Boba Fett and carries out various contracts for the Hutts.
During this period, he is regularly accompanied by Marrok, his trained anooba. Embo has a far more loyal relationship with the animal than with his employers, his services being guided first and foremost by the contracts he accepts.
Several decades later, Embo reappears during the New Republic era in *Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu*. His former companion Marrok is no longer with him, and the bounty hunter travels with a new anooba named Keibu. The character, however, retains his professional and independent nature: his primary objective remains to capture his target and get paid. This figure from The Vintage Collection depicts precisely this older version of Embo, as seen in his live-action appearance.
