STAR WARS 4 - Luke Skywalker (Pilot) - Figure Black Series 15cm

This Hasbro action figure depicts Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing pilot’s outfit, as he appears in *Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope*. Part of the Star Wars The Black Series collection, it measures 6 inches (approximately 15 cm), featuring a design inspired by the film, photorealistic detailing and multiple points of articulation to recreate various poses.

Luke wears the distinctive orange flight suit worn by Rebel Alliance pilots. The outfit is completed by a white life jacket, grey straps and harness, black boots and the control unit attached to his chest. This appearance matches exactly the one he adopts when he joins Red Squadron to take part in the attack on the first Death Star.

The figure comes with three iconic accessories: a removable X-Wing pilot’s helmet, a blaster pistol and Luke’s lightsaber. This combination allows him to be displayed both as a young Rebel pilot during the Battle of Yavin and as a hero beginning to discover his connection to the Force. Hasbro also confirms that the figure features premium articulation suitable for both combat and display poses.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Luke Skywalker grew up on Tatooine with his uncle Owen and aunt Beru, dreaming of leaving the planet and becoming a pilot. His life changed when he met the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, and then Obi-Wan Kenobi. After the Empire destroys his family’s farm, Luke accompanies Obi-Wan, Han Solo and Chewbacca on an adventure that ultimately leads him to join the Rebel Alliance.

After rescuing Princess Leia and delivering the Death Star plans to the Rebel base on Yavin 4, Luke takes part in the attack on the Imperial battle station. Despite his lack of military experience, the skills he acquired whilst piloting through the canyons of Tatooine enabled him to join Red Squadron at the controls of an X-wing under the call sign Red Five.

During the assault, Luke must reach the tiny exhaust vent that constitutes the Death Star’s weak point. At the decisive moment, he disables his targeting computer and follows Obi-Wan’s advice by trusting in the Force. After Han Solo intervenes to fend off Darth Vader, Luke fires his proton torpedoes into the vent, causing the complete destruction of the station. This victory at the Battle of Yavin establishes him as one of the Rebellion’s new heroes.

This Black Series figure accurately depicts Luke at this pivotal stage in his journey: still a long way from the powerful Jedi he will become, he is then a young Rebel pilot whose intuition, piloting skills and first steps towards mastering the Force change the course of the war against the Empire.
