Taken from the Spider-Man universe, this Hasbro Marvel Legends figure depicts Aunt May (May Parker) as she appears in the 1994 animated series *Spider-Man: The Animated Series*. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it features a design and detailing directly inspired by the cartoon, as well as numerous points of articulation allowing for a variety of poses. Hasbro confirms, in particular, that the head, arms and legs are fully articulated.
The figure recreates Aunt May’s signature outfit from this adaptation: a turquoise blue jacket worn over a white blouse, a purple skirt and matching shoes, with her blonde hair swept back. The design deliberately retains the bold colours and aesthetic of the 1990s animated series.
Aunt May comes with four accessories: two interchangeable hands, a handbag and a copy of the fictional magazine *Models, Inc.*, featuring Mary Jane Watson on the cover. The figure is presented on a retro blister card, designed in the style of the classic *Spider-Man* and *Marvel Legends* ranges.
May Parker, better known as Aunt May, is one of the most important family figures in the history of Spider-Man. Following the death of Peter Parker’s parents, May and her husband Ben Parker raised their nephew as their own son. May’s upbringing and support played a vital role in shaping Peter’s character and the values that underpin his life as a hero.
Following Uncle Ben’s murder, May and Peter had to face this loss together, which further strengthened their bond. Although she has no superpowers, Aunt May thus occupies a central place in the Spider-Man universe: she represents his home, his family and a large part of the connection that ties Peter Parker to his everyday life when he is not wearing his costume. Marvel describes her, in fact, as having raised Peter to become the kind and responsible man he has grown into.
This figure is specifically inspired by *Spider-Man: The Animated Series*, a series launched in 1994 that has become one of the character’s most iconic animated adaptations. This version of Aunt May retains her role as a mother figure to Peter, and Hasbro has recreated her animated appearance here with a retro design intended to complement the other Marvel Legends figures from the same series.
