Origin and character’s universe
In the Shangri-La Frontier universe, Oikatzo is the avatar of Kei Towa, a professional player of high-level fighting games. A close friend of the protagonist Sunraku, he shares his passion for ‘crap games’ – poorly coded video games riddled with bugs – before joining him in the hit virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) Shangri-La Frontier. Having chosen a female avatar from the Celestial race, Oikatzo compensates for his character’s lack of raw power with rigorous technical mastery, lightning-fast execution and a precise reading of opponents’ movements, all drawn from his competitive experience.
This Funko Pop! figure recreates the character’s clothing and physical features. Oikatzo is depicted with her turquoise hair tied in a high ponytail, her two distinctive pointed ears and her blue eyes. The avatar is clad in a lightweight combat outfit inspired by traditional martial arts, comprising a white sleeveless double-breasted jacket with blue trim, protective bandages around the wrists and ankles, and flowing dark trousers. The figure is depicted in a dynamic pose, ready for battle, illustrating his agility-based fighting style within the franchise.
