Origin and character background (Lore)

Pusheen is a famous grey cat who has become an icon of kawaii culture on the internet. The character is regularly depicted in everyday situations centred around her passions: sleeping, playing, dressing up and, above all, eating.

Food plays a particularly important role in Pusheen’s world. The character features in numerous collections inspired by desserts, snacks, drinks and Asian specialities, allowing her design to be constantly refreshed whilst retaining her instantly recognisable identity.

The Sushi Lover collection fits squarely within this tradition by pairing Pusheen with the world of sushi, blending humour, a love of food and Japanese aesthetics in a design particularly well-suited to kitchen accessories.

This 420 ml mug and saucer set from the Pusheen Sushi Lover range thus brings one of the character’s most popular aspects to life in a practical set designed for Pusheen fans and lovers of kawaii accessories.
