Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Introduced in 1988 by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton in the pages of the Millennium comic-book, Gregorio De La Vega, alias Extraño, is a sorcerer of Peruvian origin with powerful magical powers and overdeveloped intuition. A major figure in the history of American comics, he is recognised as the very first openly gay superhero in the DC Comics stable. A founding member of the New Guardians team, he uses his light spells and mystical energy shields to repel the forces of evil. This figurine from the Funko Pride collection celebrates its historical heritage, honouring diversity, visibility and pride through pop culture figures.
