History and background of the model
The Funko Pop! Zodiac collection is based on traditional Western astrology, a system for interpreting the stars structured into twelve distinct signs. The sign of Libra, traditionally associated with people born between late September and mid-October, is an Air sign ruled by the planet Venus, historically symbolising balance, justice, harmony and the quest for fairness.
For this thematic series, manufacturer Funko has chosen to adapt the constellations and astral imagery in anthropomorphic or stylised animal form. The use of a celestial frog to embody Libra combines the aesthetics of vinyl figurines with elements of calm, adaptation and serenity linked to the aquatic and terrestrial worlds, offering a modern graphic alternative to classic mythological representations or allegories of justice from the zodiac.
