Funko POP! action figure Icons No. 103 - Frida Kahlo
This vinyl figurine represents the famous Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, part of the thematic series paying tribute to major historical and cultural figures.
The model incorporates the stylistic features of the Funko POP! range, combining an oversized head with a body of reduced proportions. The statuette captures the artist's strong and unique visual identity. It faithfully reproduces her emblematic eyebrows, her black hair styled in a traditional plaited bun and adorned with a crown of bright flowers. She is dressed in a traditional Mexican dress with colourful, festive motifs. To echo her most famous works, the figurine features her holding her pet spider monkey delicately on her left arm. Its structure provides a stable position for display on a flat surface.
Designed primarily for display on a shelf, on a desk or in a window, this collector's item comes in its original cardboard box-window packaging, allowing the figurine to be viewed without opening the box.

Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Born in 1907 in Coyoacán, Frida Kahlo is one of the most influential and revolutionary artistic and political figures of the 20th century. Marked by severe physical suffering following a terrible bus accident in her youth, she used art and self-portraiture as a therapeutic outlet, painting her own social, intimate and cultural reality. Her work is deeply imbued with Mexican popular culture and pre-Columbian art, where animals such as spider monkeys symbolise the protection and tenderness at the heart of her complex canvases. Now an international symbol of female emancipation, resilience and artistic freedom, this figurine commemorates the visual legacy of a timeless icon of world painting.
