Character background and lore

Chie Satonaka is a pupil at Yasogami High School and one of the first people the protagonist meets after arriving in Inaba. Sitting next to him in class, she immediately stands out for her outgoing nature, her frankness and her energy.

Highly sociable and with a strong sense of justice, Chie is also a huge fan of kung fu films and meat. This passion for martial arts directly influences her fighting style, which is mainly based on kicks and physical attacks.

Chie is Yukiko Amagi’s childhood friend. Their relationship plays an important role in her personal development: behind her confident demeanour lie certain insecurities that she must confront when she discovers her own Shadow in the world of television.

After coming to terms with this part of herself, Chie awakens her Persona, Tomoe, inspired by the famous Japanese warrior Tomoe Gozen. She then fully joins the Investigation Team and takes part in the investigations aimed at understanding the abductions and murders plaguing Inaba.

In battle, Chie specialises particularly in physical attacks and ice-based techniques. Her fast and direct fighting style reflects her enthusiasm for martial arts and her constant desire to protect her friends.

Persona 4 Revival revisits the story of Persona 4 Golden as a complete remake. ATLUS retains Chie’s fundamental personality: a warm, passionate young girl who is deeply devoted to her friends and driven by a strong sense of justice.

This POP! Games No. 1354 faithfully recreates her iconic look, complete with her green jacket and houndstooth-patterned skirt, in a pose that reflects her confident and energetic character.
