Origin and background of the character
Red-Haired Shanks is one of the most influential, respected and iconic pirates in the global epic One Piece, created by the genius mangaka Eiichiro Oda. Many decades before founding his own crew, becoming the spiritual mentor to Monkey D. Luffy and rising to the rank of Emperor of the New World, Shanks honed his skills as a young pirate apprentice aboard the Oro Jackson, the ship of the legendary Pirate King Gol D. Roger. Sailing alongside his comrade-in-arms and rival, Buggy the Clown, he crossed the globe’s most dangerous seas and witnessed the greatest secrets of that era.
This 9 cm figurine from the "Ichibansho" collection brilliantly captures the essence, distinctive features and polished appearance of this legendary pirate in his youth. The sculpture meticulously highlights his characteristic red hair, his original straw hat (the very one entrusted to him by Gol D. Roger) and his traditional apprentice’s outfit. The paintwork on the PVC offers a compact yet particularly expressive representation, making it an essential addition to complete the historic crew alongside the young Buggy and the doctor Crocus.
