Origin and background of the character
Roronoa Zoro (nicknamed ‘the Pirate Hunter’) is the first crewmate to join Monkey D. Luffy in the Straw Hat Pirates in the monumental series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. A former master bounty hunter, he pursues the ambitious goal of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman by surpassing the legendary Dracule Mihawk. Zoro is distinguished by his unique fighting style, the Santoryu (three-sword style), which involves wielding two blades in his hands and a third firmly clenched between his teeth. Banpresto’s “Ichibansho” sub-category is acclaimed worldwide by discerning collectors for its exceptional level of finish, its rigorous anatomical accuracy and the complexity of its poses. This 15 cm figurine meticulously captures the drape of his traditional combat attire, his famous scars and the muscular tension in his arms, establishing itself as an essential centrepiece to enhance your display cabinet.
