Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Originally introduced under the alias of Miss All Sunday as Crocodile's right-hand woman at Baroque Works, Nico Robin is the official archaeologist of the Straw Hat Crew after being rescued by Monkey D. Luffy in Alabasta. The only survivor of the island of Ohara, she possesses the unique ability to read the Poneglyphs, ancient stone stelae leading to the truth about the Forgotten Century. Since childhood, Robin has mastered the powers of Hana Hana no Mi (Fruit of Hatching), a Paramecia demon fruit that allows her to hatch parts of her own body, mainly her arms, onto any surface or structure within sight to subdue her opponents.
