Origin and background of the character
Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard, is one of the main and most terrifying antagonists in the pirate epic One Piece, created by the brilliant mangaka Eiichiro Oda. A former member of Whitebeard’s crew, he broke the ultimate rule by murdering one of his comrades to seize the Dark-Dark Fruit (Yami Yami no Mi). Endowed with boundless ambition and Machiavellian patience, he captures Portgas D. Ace, triggers the war at the summit of Marineford and becomes the only man in history to acquire a second Devil Fruit power: the Quake Fruit (Gura Gura no Mi), thereby rising to the rank of one of the Four Emperors.
This 18 cm figurine from the "Special" collection perfectly captures the character’s extravagance, massive stature and dark presence. It meticulously highlights his pirate captain’s attire, featuring his long coat, numerous trinkets on his fingers, pistols tucked into his belt, and his famous pirate hat. His facial expression, marked by a provocative grin and his characteristic missing teeth, perfectly captures the cunning and brute strength of this Emperor of the Seas, making this figurine an absolute must-have for any fan of the Luffy saga.
