This Banpresto figurine brings together Portgas D. Ace and Monkey D. Luffy in a scene inspired by the Marineford arc of One Piece. It is part of the World Collectable Figure Log Stories collection, a sub-series of the WCF range dedicated to recreating memorable scenes from the series in the form of small, stylised dioramas.
The two brothers are depicted with the deliberately exaggerated proportions characteristic of the World Collectable Figure range: large heads, compact bodies and exaggerated expressions. The shared composition allows Ace and Luffy to be presented as a single narrative unit rather than as two independent figures, in keeping with the spirit of the Log Stories range, which combines characters with a diorama-style base to directly evoke a scene from the anime.
Ace retains his iconic appearance with his black hair, orange hat and bare torso, whilst Luffy is recognisable by his straw hat and red and blue outfit. This reunion of the two characters evokes one of the most emotionally charged moments in their shared history, when Luffy crosses the battlefield at Marineford in an attempt to save his brother from execution.

Origin and character lore
Portgas D. Ace is the sworn brother of Monkey D. Luffy and Sabo. The son of Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge, he became a pirate and later commander of the Second Division of the Whitebeard Pirates. As the user of the Mera Mera no Mi, he can create, control and transform his body into fire, earning him the nickname ‘Fire Fist Ace’. Following his defeat at the hands of Blackbeard, he is handed over to the World Government and sentenced to public execution at Marineford.
The announcement of this execution triggers the War at the Summit. Whitebeard and his allies attack the Marine headquarters to free Ace, whilst Luffy also joins the battlefield after escaping from Impel Down. Marineford then becomes the scene of a massive clash between Whitebeard’s pirates, the Marines and the Grand Pirates.
Luffy finally reaches Ace and helps to free him. The two brothers then fight side by side, but their escape is cut short by Admiral Akainu. When Akainu turns his attack directly on Luffy, Ace steps in to protect his brother and takes the blow in his place. Mortally wounded, he thanks those who loved him before dying in Luffy’s arms. This sequence is one of the major turning points in One Piece and lends great emotional weight to a collection of Log Stories featuring Ace and Luffy centred on the Marineford arc.
