NARUTO SHIPPUDEN - Sakura Haruno - Figure Kazekage Rescue Arc 23cm

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN – Sakura Haruno – Ichibansho Kazekage Rescue Arc – 23 cm figure

The Ichibansho collection from Banpresto / Bandai Spirits features a figure of approximately 23 cm depicting Sakura Haruno, inspired by her appearance at the start of Naruto Shippuden during the Kazekage Rescue Arc. This MASTERLISE-style figure showcases a Sakura who has now been trained by Tsunade, is much more experienced, and is directly involved in one of the first major confrontations against the Akatsuki.

Sakura is depicted standing in a calm yet determined pose, her torso turned slightly and her hands raised in front of her as if she were adjusting one of her gloves before the fight. The sculpture captures her short pink hair, her Konoha headband and her focused expression. She is wearing her signature outfit from the early Shippuden era, consisting of a red sleeveless top, a pink slit skirt worn over black shorts, gloves, forearm guards and shinobi sandals.

This deliberately understated pose emphasises the confidence Sakura has gained through her training rather than any specific technique. Standing 23 cm tall, the figurine is the perfect size for display alongside the other Ichibansho characters from the Kazekage Rescue Arc collection, notably Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake and Deidara.

Character background and lore

Sakura Haruno is a kunoichi from Konoha and a member of Team 7 alongside Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, under the leadership of Kakashi Hatake. Between the first part of Naruto and the start of Naruto Shippuden, she becomes the apprentice of Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage and legendary medical ninja. This training enables her to develop advanced skills in medical ninjutsu, excellent chakra control and considerable physical strength. The official Naruto website highlights that this period spent with Tsunade enhances her power, her evasion skills and her determination.

The Kazekage Rescue arc is one of the first major demonstrations of this development. When Team Kakashi arrives at the Hidden Sand Village, Sakura notably manages to heal Kankurô, who has been poisoned by Sasori, before setting off in pursuit of Akatsuki.

Sakura then faces Sasori alongside Chiyo. At the start of the fight, Chiyo uses her chakra threads to guide Sakura’s movements against her opponent’s puppets, but the young kunoichi gradually demonstrates that she possesses the reflexes and power needed to fight on her own. In particular, she manages to destroy the Third Kazekage’s puppet thanks to her exceptional strength and uses an antidote she has prepared to temporarily resist Sasori’s poison.

This Ichibansho figurine thus depicts a pivotal moment in Sakura’s journey: she is no longer just the young member of Team 7 from the early days of the series, but a medical ninja capable of fighting on the front line, healing her allies and standing up to a particularly dangerous member of the Akatsuki.
