From Naruto Shippuden, this Banpresto figurine depicts Kakashi Hatake during his time with Konoha’s ANBU special forces. Officially titled Grandista – Kakashi Hatake II, this second iteration of the character in the Grandista range features a particularly dynamic crouching pose and his former Black Ops outfit.
Kakashi is sculpted very low to the ground, with his legs spread wide apart and one hand reaching towards the ground, as if he had just landed or was about to leap. This position gives the figure a much wider horizontal silhouette and contrasts with the more traditional standing poses of the Grandista range. His face retains its black mask, whilst his spiky silver-grey hair remains instantly recognisable.
This version is distinguished above all by his ANBU outfit: a grey sleeveless top, dark trousers, forearm and leg guards, gloves and shinobi sandals. The red tattoo visible on his upper arm is one of the characteristic features of this period. A long sword is also strapped to his back, visually cutting across the composition and reinforcing his appearance as an agent on a secret mission.

Kakashi Hatake is the son of the famous shinobi Sakumo Hatake and displayed exceptional abilities from an early age. He quickly completed his training at the Academy and became a Chūnin at a very young age. His journey, however, was profoundly marked by a series of losses: his father, his teammate Obito Uchiha, Rin Nohara and then his mentor Minato Namikaze.
Obito plays a decisive role in shaping Kakashi’s future identity. Whilst seriously injured during a mission, he entrusts one of his Sharingan to his comrade. Kakashi went on to develop such mastery of this eye that he became famous throughout the ninja world under the nickname ‘Kakashi of the Sharingan’, as well as for his ability to replicate numerous enemy techniques.
Following the traumas he endured during his youth, Kakashi spent part of his career in Black Ops / ANBU, Konoha’s special forces unit tasked with particularly sensitive missions. The official Naruto website describes this period as a journey through a darker side of the shinobi world following the loss of the people who mattered most to him. It is precisely this incarnation of the character that Banpresto has chosen for this Grandista Kakashi Hatake II.
Kakashi then gradually leaves this life in the shadows behind and becomes a Jônin instructor for Team 7, comprising Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. His teaching draws heavily on the painful experiences of his youth: rather than prioritising mere obedience to the rules, he emphasises teamwork and the protection of his comrades.
This Grandista figure therefore focuses on a period prior to his role as a teacher: a younger Kakashi, a member of ANBU, kitted out for covert operations and depicted in a combat-ready stance, before he became Team 7’s iconic mentor.
