The Ichibansho collection from Banpresto / Bandai Spirits features a 21 cm figurine of Deidara, a member of Akatsuki and one of the main antagonists in the Kazekage Rescue Arc of Naruto Shippuden. This figure depicts the character in a dynamic pose directly inspired by his clash with Gaara and his explosive clay techniques.
Deidara is depicted crouching, with his legs bent and both arms thrust forward, in a posture suggesting he is preparing one of his attacks. His long black Akatsuki cloak, lined in red and adorned with the famous red clouds, complements the sculpture’s movement. His blond hair is tied back in a high ponytail, whilst a long strand partially obscures his face.
The figurine also reproduces several of the character’s distinctive features, notably his headband, his shinobi sandals and his hands – which play a particularly important role in his fighting style. Deidara has mouths built into his palms, which he uses to mould the explosive clay that forms the basis of his techniques. The wide, low-slung pose effectively captures his provocative demeanour and his spectacular fighting style.
Standing 21 cm tall, this figurine fits naturally alongside the other Ichibansho models dedicated to the Kazekage Rescue Arc, notably Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake and the various characters involved in the early clashes against the Akatsuki.

Deidara is a renegade ninja from Iwagakure who joins Akatsuki and forms a duo with Sasori. A self-proclaimed artist, he believes that true beauty lies in the fleeting moment of an explosion. His techniques rely on explosive clay, which he moulds using the mouths in his hands before bringing his creations to life and causing them to explode. The official Naruto website specifically describes this artistic obsession as the central element of his personality and fighting style.
At the start of Naruto Shippuden, Deidara and Sasori are sent to the Hidden Sand Village to capture Gaara, who has become the Fifth Kazekage and the jinchūriki of Shukaku. Deidara attacks Suna from the air using his explosive creations and manages to push Gaara to his limits. When Gaara devotes a large portion of his chakra to protecting his village, Deidara seizes the opportunity to defeat and abduct him.
After extracting Shukaku, Deidara flees with Gaara’s body, pursued by Naruto and Kakashi. Kakashi then uses his new Mangekyō Sharingan and the Kamui technique to sever one of his arms, whilst Naruto finally manages to rescue Gaara. Deidara nevertheless escapes his pursuers thanks to an explosive clone.
This Ichibansho figurine directly references this first major confrontation in Naruto Shippuden. The aggressive pose, the Akatsuki cloak and the hands thrust forward are reminiscent of both Deidara’s spectacular style and his decisive role in the Kazekage’s abduction.
