Origin and background of the character
Hidan is a major, memorable antagonist in the legendary Naruto series, the shōnen manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. Partnering with the greedy Kakuzu within the criminal organisation Akatsuki, this renegade ninja from the Hidden Village of Yu is a religious fanatic who worships the god of destruction, Jashin, with absolute devotion. Through the rituals of his faith, Hidan has attained total immortality, allowing him to survive normally fatal injuries, including decapitation. In battle, he uses a huge red three-bladed scythe attached to a rope to draw blood from his opponents, an essential prerequisite for performing his terrifying voodoo curse technique. Funko’s “POP! Animation” collection captures his alternative and provocative style, making this a must-have figure to complete your collection of renegade ninjas.
