MY HERO ACADEMIA - Toru Hagakure - Figure Glitter & Glamours 23cm

From My Hero Academia, this Banpresto figurine depicts Toru Hagakure, a pupil in Class 1-A at Yuei High School, known for his invisibility Quirk. Standing approximately 23 cm tall, it is part of the Glitter & Glamours range and is specifically Version B.

This version offers a particularly unusual portrayal of Toru, as it shows her physical appearance clearly. The character is sculpted in a dynamic pose, with both arms spread wide and one leg raised behind her, giving the impression that she is leaping or running joyfully forwards. Her long, light-green hair, with slightly tousled strands, complements the movement of the composition.

Here, Toru is wearing her Yuei school uniform: a white short-sleeved blouse, a red tie hanging loosely to one side, a dark blue pleated skirt, black knee-high socks and brown loafers. Her face, usually unseen in the series, is depicted with large yellow-green eyes and a lively expression. Version B thus differs from Version A in its finish and presentation, whilst retaining the same height of approximately 23 cm.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Toru Hagakure is a pupil in Class 1-A at Yuei High School, where she is training to become a professional hero. The official My Hero Academia website describes her as an energetic, positive young girl who is always in a good mood. She is officially 152 cm tall and her birthday is 16 June.

Her Quirk, Invisibility, normally renders her body completely invisible. For much of the series, her presence is therefore mainly indicated by her clothes or the accessories she wears. This ability naturally gives her an advantage in missions requiring discretion, infiltration or surprise.

During the final showdown against the Villains, however, her Alter malfunctions, briefly revealing her physical appearance. The anime’s official website states that these ‘glitches’ in her power sometimes make her body visible. It is this appearance, revealed late in the story, that has enabled Banpresto to produce a truly complete sculpture of Toru here, featuring her face, hair and uniform.

After completing his studies at Yuei, Toru pursues his goal and becomes a professional heroine, according to the series’ official profile. This Glitter & Glamours Ver.B figurine therefore offers a particularly unique portrayal of the character: it finally gives a fully visible form to the student whose invisibility had, until then, been one of the main visual driving forces behind *My Hero Academia*.
