Character background and lore
Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is the central protagonist of the famous manga and anime series My Hero Academia, written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. Born without any Quirk in a world where 80 per cent of the population possesses superpowers, his innate sense of sacrifice and his courage catch the attention of the legendary All Might, the number one superhero. All Might then chooses Izuku to become his worthy successor, passing on to him ‘One For All’, a unique Quirk that grants titanic physical strength.
Admitted to the prestigious Yuei High School (U.A. High School), Deku must learn to harness this destructive power, which takes a toll on his own body every time he uses it. This superb Premium edition depicts him in his green hero costume with red accents, kitted out in his reinforced boots and protective gauntlets, with his mask slung around his neck. The figure’s pose depicts the deployment of the Full Cowling, the technique through which he channels a controlled percentage of One For All throughout his entire being, unleashing arcs of pure energy to counter the threats posed by Shigaraki and his League of Super-Villains.
