Character background and universe (Lore)
In the world of My Hero Academia, where the majority of the world’s population is born with a superpower known as an ‘Alter’, Katsuki Bakugo is one of the most talented and explosive students in Class 1-A at the prestigious Yuei High School. Driven since childhood by boundless pride and an absolute will to win, he has set himself the ultimate goal of surpassing All Might, the legendary symbol of peace, to become the number one hero. His devastating Alter, known as ‘Explosion’, enables him to secrete a sweat similar to nitroglycerine from the palms of his hands, which he can ignite instantly and at will to generate destructive explosions. A fighter with instinctive tactical genius and surprising agility in mid-air, Bakugo channels his natural aggression to repel the assaults of the Villain League.
