Narrative context and universe (Lore)
In theMy Hero Academia universe, Katsuki Bakugo is one of the leading students in Class 1-A at U.A. High School and the long-standing rival of the main protagonist, Izuku Midoriya. With an explosive temperament and great strategic rigour, he aims to surpass all his peers to establish himself as the number one hero of his generation.
His Quirk, named ‘Explosion’, allows him to secrete a sweat similar to nitroglycerine through the palms of his hands and generate high-intensity explosions. The Grandista range captures the character during an intense battle sequence. The pose highlights his physical determination and his support gear, designed to store his explosive sweat in order to channel destructive attacks from a distance whilst minimising the recoil on his own joints during clashes with the Villain Alliance.
