Marin wears a pink and white outfit consisting of a top marked ‘CHEER’ and a matching skirt. She holds golden pom-poms in her hands and lifts one leg in a dynamic pose. Her hair, styled in two long plaits, her white trainers and her broad smile all emphasise the dynamic nature of the sculpture. The figurine stands on a circular base that supports this airy posture.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Marin Kitagawa is one of the main characters in *My Dress-Up Darling*, a work by Shinichi Fukuda also known in French as *Sexy Cosplay Doll*. A first-year sixth-former, Marin is a popular girl in her class who also works as a magazine model. Behind her outgoing ‘gyaru’ appearance, she harbours a great passion for anime, video games and manga, with a particular interest in cosplay.

Her desire to bring her favourite characters to life leads her to befriend Wakana Gojo, a classmate who is passionate about making hina dolls and is particularly skilled at sewing. Thanks to Gojo’s skills, Marin is able to bring her costume ideas to life, and their collaboration on cosplay forms the starting point for their growing closeness and a large part of the story.

This ‘Cheering!’ version does not directly replicate one of her iconic cosplays from the series: SEGA presents her in an original cheerleading outfit, designed to highlight her expressive and energetic character. Marin’s leaping pose, pom-poms and smile thus fit naturally with the enthusiastic and spontaneous personality depicted in the series.
