Character background and lore
In the acclaimed Monogatari universe of light novels and anime created by Nisio Isin, Hitagi Senjougahara is a final-year high school student of formidable intelligence, who readily describes herself as a ‘tsundere’. Her life changes radically when she crosses paths with Koyomi Araragi, after accidentally falling into his arms from the top of a flight of stairs. Araragi then discovers her secret: following her encounter with an aberrant entity known as the “Heavyweight Crab”, Hitagi has been stripped of almost all her body weight, now weighing just five kilograms. Armed to the teeth with school supplies (staplers, craft knives, scissors) to hide her vulnerability behind a ferocious verbal aggression, she will learn to overcome her family and emotional traumas as her story unfolds. This figurine celebrates one of the most fascinating, independent and memorable leading figures in modern Japanese animation.
