Add a soft, rustic touch to your everyday life with this mini towel featuring My Neighbour Totoro. Its square shape, measuring 25 × 25 cm, is perfect for drying your hands or face, but also fits easily into a bag when you’re out and about. Made from cotton, it’s a handy little textile accessory inspired by the world of Studio Ghibli.
The design features the three Totoros sitting in the middle of a maize field. The large grey Totoro is holding a green stalk between his paws, whilst the medium-sized blue Totoro and the small white Totoro appear by his side. Several small black creatures float around the characters, accompanied by yellow corn cobs and green leaves.
The background combines various shades of yellow, cream and pale green. A green border dotted with small white lines frames the top edge, whilst the base features a wavy cut-out following the shapes of the areas where the characters are positioned. The reverse side features a mirror image of the design, still centred on the Totoros and the maize field.
Compact, colourful and easy to carry, this mini towel makes a practical gift for fans of Totoro and Hayao Miyazaki’s creations.
My Neighbour Totoro follows Satsuki and Mei, two young sisters who move with their father into a house in the countryside. Whilst exploring the nearby woods, they discover several forest spirits, including the imposing Totoro and two smaller creatures.
Benevolent and mysterious, the Totoros embody the hidden magic of nature and the imagination unique to childhood. The acorns, leaves, crops and plant life regularly associated with the characters serve as a reminder of their deep connection to the forest and the cycles of nature, here set against a summer backdrop of a maize field.
