Character background and lore
Released in 1988 on the album *Bad* and featuring prominently in the musical feature film *Moonwalker*, *Smooth Criminal* is one of the most iconic tracks of Michael Jackson’s career, famous for its visual style inspired by Hollywood film noir. The choreography in the music video, set in a 1930s speakeasy (the Club 30’s), has gone down in pop culture history thanks to the introduction of a revolutionary dance move: the “Anti-Gravity Lean”, a 45-degree tilt of the body that defies the laws of gravity. This figurine captures the impeccable aesthetic and fashion style of this legendary performance, allowing fans to celebrate the visual genius, timeless elegance and major cultural impact of the King of Pop.
