History and background of the model
Wolverine, real name Logan, was created in 1974 by Roy Thomas, Len Wein and John Romita Sr. for Marvel Comics publications. This particular action figure was directly inspired by the first episode of the fifth season of the legendary animated series X-Men: The Animated Series, broadcast in 1993. In this scene, which has become an essential meme in web culture, Wolverine lies melancholy on his bed, wistfully caressing a photo frame containing a snapshot of Jean Grey and Cyclops.
Published by Funko as part of its collection dedicated to viral moments in popular culture, this Deluxe figurine brings this piece of television and Internet history to life in three dimensions.
