Discover Sana Akabishi [Dress Code], the second ‘Trigger’ character from Kotobukiya’s original Megalomaria Unlimited Universe. This articulated model kit depicts Sana in her combat configuration alongside SANAT, the Red Queen, wearing an outfit that blends military aesthetics, mechanical elements and heavy weaponry. The release also marks a convergence between the Megalomaria and Hexa Gear universes. Once assembled, the figure officially measures approximately 16 cm.
The design combines a slender, feminine silhouette with a long skirt, a military-inspired headpiece and a large back unit known as Phlegethon. This unit comprises a base featuring multiple attachment points, four independent mechanical arms and four muskets. The universal arms each have seven joints and can be deployed around Sana to create either a bombardment configuration or a silhouette reminiscent of large mechanical wings.
The kit is particularly well-crafted in terms of articulation. Kotobukiya states that there are over 50 points of articulation for the body, and up to 88 movable points when the posable eyes and the Phlegethon equipment are also taken into account. A new hip mechanism called Maria Swing allows the left and right sides to move independently, whilst the skirt, made from a flexible material, even allows for certain seated poses despite the length of the garment.

Sana Akabishi is one of the ‘Triggers’ in the Megalomaria Unlimited Universe. In her everyday life, she is a third-year secondary school pupil attending the same school as Maria Kagaribi. Endowed with a keen sense of justice and order, she is a member of the school’s disciplinary committee and rigorously pursues pupils who break the rules, to the extent that her very direct manner sometimes leads people to compare her to an artificial intelligence.
Outside of school life, Sana secretly fights using various firearms. As a Trigger, she has awakened a priestess-type Another named Eis Eisen, an entity that accompanies her in her battles. The official narrative depicts her, in particular, using precision weapons and operating from a distance against threats linked to the Anothers.
Sana also holds Maria Kagaribi in high regard, as her desire to remain an ‘ordinary’ person aligns with Sana’s own conception of order. The official website states that a friendship is gradually beginning to form between them, which directly links Sana to the central heroine of the Megalomaria story.
In her [Dress Code] configuration, the character is presented under the martial identity of SANAT, the Red Queen. Her Phlegethon equipment greatly emphasises the model’s military aspect: four weapons mounted on mechanical arms surround Sana and can be used for flight or bombardment configurations. Kotobukiya also plans to release separate expansion sets, including the Metamorphose Unit Criminal Buster, which allows this configuration to be upgraded to Pyriphlegethon Mode, a heavily armed annihilation form of the Red Queen.
