Meet Clint Barton, alias Hawkeye, with this 15 cm articulated action figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. This version is directly inspired by the character’s appearance in *Hawkeye* #3, published in 2012, as well as his design in the *Avengers* comics. It captures the modern, streamlined aesthetic popularised by the series by Matt Fraction and David Aja.
Hawkeye is depicted with his short blond hair, purple glasses and a predominantly black combat outfit featuring the distinctive purple motif on the chest. The figure’s numerous points of articulation allow for a range of shooting and combat poses, whilst his bow and arrow immediately evoke the speciality of one of the Marvel Universe’s finest archers.
The figure features over 20 points of articulation in the head, arms and legs. It comes with four accessories: a bow, an arrow, an alternate head and a scale plastic reproduction of the cover of Hawkeye #3 from 2012. This final item directly references the issue that inspired the design of this edition.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Clint Barton, alias Hawkeye, is an archer and sharpshooter who has become one of the regular members of the Avengers. Unlike many Marvel heroes, he has no superpowers: his effectiveness lies in his training, his exceptional accuracy, his reflexes and his mastery of various types of specialised arrows. His status as a human hero fighting alongside characters with superhuman abilities is an essential part of his identity.
This figurine is specifically inspired by the Hawkeye series launched in 2012 by writer Matt Fraction and artist David Aja. This series focuses in particular on Clint Barton’s life when he is not busy on missions with the Avengers, with Kate Bishop also featuring under the alias Hawkeye. Marvel describes this period as the hero’s more everyday adventures, blending personal problems, urban confrontations and often chaotic situations.
Hawkeye #3, published on 17 October 2012, is the very issue that inspired the design of this figurine. Written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by David Aja, it features Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in an adventure centred on the mysterious ‘Vagabond Code’. This issue is also memorable for Clint’s use of one of his most unexpected arrows: a boomerang arrow.
The black and purple costume featured on this Marvel Legends figure therefore reflects a particularly recognisable period in Hawkeye’s modern history, during which the character is portrayed as much as an Avenger as a street-level hero grappling with far more personal and urban problems.
