LUPIN THE IIIRD - Fujiko Mine - Figure 13cm

Taken from the world of LUPIN THE IIIRD, this Banpresto figurine depicts Fujiko Mine, a thief as independent as she is unpredictable and a key figure in the franchise created by Monkey Punch. Standing approximately 13 cm tall, the figure features a carefully crafted horizontal composition that resembles a miniature scene, with Fujiko striking a relaxed pose whilst keeping her weapon within easy reach.

Fujiko is depicted lying down, her upper body slightly raised, one hand resting on the ground whilst the other holds a pistol close to her face. Her long orange hair is gathered into a high ponytail, held in place by a yellow ribbon with blue accents. She wears an open light-blue jacket, black shorts and high-heeled purple boots – an outfit that reflects the stylised aesthetic characteristic of LUPIN THE IIIRD.

The composition is complemented by a cluster of red shapes reminiscent of roses or cushions, arranged behind the character and serving both as a decorative element and a visual anchor. This composition accentuates the contrast between Fujiko’s seemingly relaxed demeanour and the pistol she holds in her hand – two elements that effectively encapsulate her blend of seduction, confidence and danger.

Character background and lore

Fujiko Mine is one of the iconic characters from Lupin III. Officially described as a mysterious woman of many faces, she combines intelligence, physical prowess and a talent for manipulation. Even Lupin III can fall prey to her schemes, as Fujiko acts first and foremost in accordance with her own objectives and desires.

She therefore has a particularly complex relationship with Lupin. Depending on the circumstances, Fujiko may become his partner, his rival, or pursue exactly the same treasure for her own gain. Her intelligence and ability to exploit situations regularly allow her to gain the upper hand, which explains the mistrust she may face from other members of Lupin’s entourage.

The LUPIN THE IIIRD aesthetic, to which this figurine directly refers, corresponds to a branch of the franchise that adopts a more adult tone and a particularly stylised artistic direction. Fujiko notably takes centre stage in *LUPIN THE IIIRD: Fujiko’s Lie*, directed by Takeshi Koike and released in Japan in 2019. In this story, she takes Gene under her wing – a young boy whose father has embezzled 500 million dollars – and must evade Bincam, an assassin capable of manipulating his victims’ minds.

In this incarnation, Fujiko is portrayed as a woman who uses her intelligence, physical abilities, charm and talent for deception in equal measure to achieve her ends. Far from being merely Lupin’s romantic partner, she acts according to her own motivations and remains perfectly capable of handling dangerous situations on her own. This figurine captures precisely this image: a Fujiko who appears relaxed, yet is armed and always in complete control of the situation.
