This Funko POP! Comics No. 66 figurine depicts Raphael in a design directly inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book universe. Officially named ‘Raphael (Battle Damaged) (Comic Deco)’ by Funko, this version features a red and grey-scale colour scheme, as well as a graphic style reminiscent of the printed aesthetic of comic books. The figurine stands approximately 9.7 cm tall.
Raphael is depicted in a combat pose, wearing his red mask and wielding his iconic weapons, the sai. The Comic Deco finish utilises stark contrasts between red, black, white and grey, whilst the Battle Damaged treatment emphasises the character’s combative nature. This artistic direction clearly distinguishes this edition from versions inspired by the various animated series.
The base is also a key feature of this collection. The bases placed beneath Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo are designed to be joined together: once the four figures are assembled, they form a complete manhole cover. This presentation allows you to create a collective diorama that directly evokes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ underground lair in New York.

Character background and lore
Raphael is one of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brothers, alongside Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo. Nicknamed Raph, he is known for his particularly passionate and impulsive nature. Nickelodeon portrays him as a fighter ready to throw himself into the fray to protect his brothers, with a tendency to act before thinking.
His signature colour is red and his weapons of choice are the sai, which he is portrayed as a true expert in wielding. Behind his explosive temperament, Raphael remains deeply devoted to his family and is particularly protective of the other Turtles. His first name pays homage to Raphael, a major painter of the Italian Renaissance.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was created in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The two artists self-published their first comic in May 1984, giving rise to a franchise that would go on to expand into animated series, films, video games and numerous ranges of merchandise.
This POP! No. 66 pays direct homage to these publishing roots. Its red and grey-scale colour scheme, battle-damaged appearance and pose armed with sai emphasise a more rugged portrayal of Raphael. When combined with the other three figures in the collection, its section of manhole cover also allows you to recreate an element immediately associated with the imagery of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their life in the sewers of New York.
