Character background and lore
*Killer Klowns from Outer Space* is an American science-fiction horror comedy released in 1988 and directed by Stephen Chiodo. The film features a group of aliens whose appearance resembles that of circus clowns, who arrive on Earth aboard a spaceship shaped like a giant big top.
Behind their bright colours and deliberately grotesque appearance, the Killer Klowns are dangerous predators. They use a range of weapons and gadgets that subvert the conventions of the circus and funfair, notably guns that turn their victims into cocoons resembling candyfloss.
Jumbo is one of these alien invaders and stands out for his massive build, his menacing grin and his extravagant arsenal. Like the other Klowns, he combines a deliberately comical appearance with threatening behaviour, a contrast that is one of the film’s visual hallmarks.
This One:12 Collective figure captures this aspect perfectly, featuring his fabric costume, several interchangeable facial expressions and accessories such as the gun, the mallet and the popcorn, allowing it to recreate the aesthetic that blends horror, science fiction and black humour so characteristic of *Killer Klowns from Outer Space*.
