Jurassic Park - T-Rex Breakout - 17 cm

JURASSIC PARK – T-Rex Breakout Set A – Icons Figurine 17 cm

Relive one of the most iconic scenes from Jurassic Park with this T-Rex Breakout Set A figurine from Iron Studios’ Icons collection. Standing approximately 17.4 cm tall, this collectable piece recreates the Tyrannosaurus rex’s spectacular escape from its enclosure, in the midst of the storm that forever changed the course of the park visit.

The T-Rex is depicted in the midst of a roar, its jaws wide open and its body lunging forwards. Iron Studios has paid particular attention to the skin textures, folds, musculature and details of the head to capture the massive and menacing appearance of the dinosaur from the 1993 film. Behind it are the destroyed fences of the enclosure, dense tropical vegetation and various elements directly linked to the escape scene.

The diorama also includes an overturned Ford Explorer, positioned beneath the T-Rex and reproduced in its distinctive yellow and green ‘Jurassic Park’ livery. This display condenses one of the film’s most recognisable moments into a relatively compact format, whilst giving the figurine a depth of approximately 26.9 cm.

Origin and setting of the scene (Lore)

In Jurassic Park, the Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the main attractions of the park created by John Hammond on Isla Nublar. Kept in a vast electrified enclosure, the gigantic predator becomes a threat when sabotage of the security systems causes the electric fences to fail during a violent storm.

The vehicles carrying the visitors are then brought to a halt right in front of the T-Rex’s enclosure. Taking advantage of the power cut, the animal breaks through the fence and approaches the Ford Explorers, in which Lex and Tim Murphy, amongst others, are travelling. The scene that follows, in which the dinosaur attacks and then overturns one of the vehicles, has become one of the most famous sequences in the film and the entire franchise.

This Breakout Set A figurine focuses precisely on this moment: the T-Rex has just escaped, the fence is no longer an obstacle, and the park’s vehicle finds itself at its mercy. Iron Studios has thus brought together the dinosaur, the Explorer, the vegetation and the enclosure’s structures in a single diorama to recreate, in miniature, the tension of this seminal sequence from *Jurassic Park*.
