- Origin and character background
Directly inspired by Steven Spielberg’s 1993 cinematic masterpiece, this exceptional figure brings to life one of Isla Nublar’s most striking and surprising creatures: the Dilophosaurus. This diorama captures the legendary scene of the jeep breakdown, during which the fearsome computer scientist Dennis Nedry, attempting to flee the island in torrential rain with the stolen embryos, finds himself stranded. It is whilst trying to free his vehicle that he encounters this dinosaur, which initially appears harmless, before it unfurls its frill and sprays its blinding venom. [
This premium piece from The Noble Collection stands out for its meticulous attention to the creature’s anatomy and textures. The dinosaur’s wrinkled, textured skin features a complex paint application that highlights its olive-green coat and the contrasting patterns of its spectacular retractable red and yellow frill. The decorated base features a rocky, muddy environment covered in tropical vegetation, faithful to the oppressive atmosphere of the Isla Nublar jungle. It is a highly aesthetic centrepiece, essential for completing the manufacturer’s trio of mythical creatures alongside the Velociraptor and the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
