Origin and character’s universe
In the occult world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Ryomen Sukuna is a legendary cursed spirit over a thousand years old, once so powerful that the exorcists of the Golden Age had to unite to defeat him. Having become a scourge after his death, his power was sealed within his twenty indestructible fingers scattered across the world. When the young Yuji Itadori swallows one to save his friends, Sukuna is reincarnated, sharing the teenager’s body whilst constantly seeking to regain absolute control of it. Known for his sadistic cruelty and his refusal to submit to human morality, Sukuna sometimes makes binding wishes to manipulate those around him. His ‘Fire Arrow’ (Huga) technique, revealed during major battles such as the one in Shibuya, demonstrates that, in addition to his slicing skills, he commands flames of divine intensity capable of reducing everything to ashes.
