Recreate the blood techniques of one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s most memorable characters with this articulated S.H.Figuarts figure of Choso. Produced by Bandai Spirits under the Tamashii Nations brand, it captures his distinctive silhouette, his loose-fitting outfit and several Blood Manipulation attacks in a scale of approximately 15 cm.
The sculpt captures Choso’s black hairstyle, with two tufts of hair raised and tousled on either side of his head. Several shorter strands fall across his forehead, whilst his dark-circled eyes and the dark horizontal stripe across his nose immediately give his face its recognisable appearance.
His outfit combines a dark purple sleeveless top with a particularly loose-fitting light grey ensemble. The thick collar wraps generously around his neck, then extends across his torso in the form of sculpted folds. A wide belt and a rounded panel of fabric cover his waist.
The flared grey sleeves hang down around his forearms, whilst his baggy trousers create a voluminous silhouette around his legs. Light-coloured stripes are visible above his brown shoes. Despite this loose-fitting outfit, Bandai Spirits states that they have refined the joints to preserve both the character’s mobility and silhouette.
Several interchangeable faces allow you to change his expression. Choso can be displayed with a calm and impassive demeanour, a focused gaze, or a more intense expression suited to combat scenes. The included hand parts also serve to recreate his characteristic gestures as he prepares or directs his blood-based attacks.
Notably, the figure comes with an interchangeable right arm covered in blood, as well as a Blood Blade. These accessories evoke his ability to mould his own blood to fight at close quarters. The visuals also show a pose in which his blood-stained hands are clasped in front of his body, his legs spread apart in an offensive stance.
A set of effects allows you to recreate ‘Piercing Blood’, one of Choso’s most iconic techniques. The set includes the necessary components to represent the blood projectile, as well as a dedicated stand to hold the effect in front of the figurine whilst on display.

Choso is the eldest of the nine Cursed Foetuses: Paintings of Death, cursed objects created from a mixture of human blood and a curse. He is the first of the nine foetuses and shares a particularly strong bond with his brothers, Eso and Kechizu. The anime’s official website describes him as a special-rank Cursed Object in human form, bound to his two brothers by an unbreakable bond.
After taking human form, Eso and Kechizu confront Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. Their defeat causes Choso profound grief, as the Paintings of Death can sense the loss of their brothers through their shared bond.
Driven by a desire for revenge, Choso joins the Scourges and curse users involved in the Shibuya incident. He now regards Yuji as directly responsible for the deaths of Eso and Kechizu and seeks to confront him personally.
Choso masters Blood Manipulation, a hereditary technique that allows him to control blood both inside and outside the body. He can alter its flow, temporarily enhance his physical abilities, and shape his blood into various offensive forms.
Piercing Blood relies on extreme compression of the blood before it is expelled as a rapid, concentrated projectile. This attack combines range, accuracy and penetrating power, which explains why it features amongst the figure’s main accessories.
Choso can also create weapons for close combat, notably a blade fashioned from his own blood. The accessory provided by Tamashii Nations thus allows for the depiction of another application of his technique, complementing the long-range attack replicated by the Piercing Blood effect.
His clash with Yuji at Shibuya station pits two combatants against each other, both capable of withstanding significant damage. Choso utilises his experience, his mastery of blood and his control of distance, whilst Yuji seeks to close the gap to unleash his physical strength.
The fight, however, takes a decisive turn when Choso feels an unexpected connection with Yuji. This sensation shakes his certainty and gradually leads him to regard the young exorcist as another of his brothers.
Following the incident in Shibuya, Choso therefore chooses to accompany and protect Yuji. The anime’s official website summarises this development by stating that he initially sought to kill Yuji to avenge Eso and Kechizu, before realising during their fight that Yuji was also his brother.
This brotherly bond becomes central to the character. Choso may come across as cold, violent and extremely determined in battle, but his decisions are almost always guided by the desire to protect his brothers and to give meaning to their lives.
The S.H.Figuarts figure primarily highlights this warrior side of him. The intense facial expressions, the bloodied arm, the Blood Blade and the Piercing Blood effect allow you to recreate both his duel against Yuji in Shibuya and his subsequent battles as he fights alongside the one he now recognises as his younger brother.
