HUNTER X HUNTER - Hisoka - Statue Exceed Creative 20cm

HUNTER X HUNTER – Hisoka – Exceed Creative Figurine, 20 cm

Meet Hisoka Morow, one of the most unpredictable characters in Hunter × Hunter, with this figurine from the Exceed Creative range produced by FuRyu. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, this pre-painted figurine depicts the famous magician in a dramatic and dynamic pose, featuring a striking translucent effect that accentuates his menacing aura.

Hisoka is depicted balancing on one leg, the other raised, with one hand raised to his forehead whilst the other rests on his hip. He wears a white, sleeveless outfit edged in yellow, decorated with a blue heart and a blue diamond, complemented by a wide pink collar and a matching belt. His red hair and distinctive make-up immediately complete his appearance.

A translucent pink effect spreads around his body from the blue-green base, lending the whole piece a sense of movement. This composition is particularly evocative of the use of his Nen and his Bungee Gum, the character’s iconic ability. The Exceed Creative range favours a voluminous sculpt and a more elaborate presentation than a standard prize figurine, whilst retaining a size suitable for display in a showcase.

Character background and lore

Hisoka Morow is a mysterious magician whom Gon and his companions meet during the Hunter Exam. The official website for the anime produced by Nippon Television describes him as a menacing candidate who was previously disqualified from the exam following a breach of the rules. He quickly recognises Gon’s potential and shows a particular interest in fighters likely to become powerful enough to provide him with a challenging opponent.

Hisoka is a user of Transformation-type Nen. His most famous technique, Bungee Gum, allows him to transform his aura into a substance possessing the properties of both rubber and chewing gum: it can stretch, contract and adhere to various surfaces or his opponents. This versatility allows him to use it both to attack and to control distances or abruptly alter the course of a fight.

He also possesses ‘Texture Surprise’, a technique that allows him to visually alter the texture of a surface by replicating different materials. Combined with his tactical intelligence, his playing cards used as weapons and his pronounced penchant for manipulation, these abilities make his fighting style particularly difficult to anticipate.

Hisoka thus occupies a unique position in Hunter × Hunter: he may find himself an opponent, a temporary ally or a mere observer, depending on whether the situation serves his primary objective – that of meeting and facing ever more powerful fighters. This Exceed Creative figurine perfectly captures this spectacular and unpredictable character through its exaggerated pose and the translucent effects surrounding the figure.
