Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Created in 1974 by the Japanese company Sanrio, Hello Kitty is a little British girl living in the suburbs of London, who over the decades has become a global cultural phenomenon and one of the most lucrative franchises in history. This themed collection is inspired by the world of Kaijū (the Japanese term for giant movie monsters, like Godzilla). In this "Sea Kaiju" version, the charming little heroine adopts the codes of mythological creatures from the depths of the ocean, swapping her usual sweetness for a fantastic amphibian disguise, while retaining her legendary calm and characteristic red bow.
