Origin and character background (Lore)

Hello Kitty, whose full name is Kitty White, is one of Sanrio’s most iconic characters. According to her official profile, she was born on 1 November and lives in London, England, with her parents and her twin sister Mimmy. She is symbolically the height of five apples and is particularly recognisable by her famous red bow worn on her left ear.

Hello Kitty loves travelling, listening to music, reading and sharing the biscuits Mimmy bakes. Friendship plays a central role in her world, with Sanrio portraying her as a character who, above all, enjoys meeting new people and forming bonds.

Since her creation, Hello Kitty has become a major figure in kawaii culture and one of Sanrio’s most recognisable characters, featured on a vast array of fashion items, accessories, home décor and collectables.

This 30 cm Fluffy SoftGlo Hello Kitty lamp thus translates the character’s soft and instantly recognisable aesthetic into a large-format light, combining kawaii décor, a fluffy texture and mood lighting.
