Meet Kuromi, one of the most popular characters from the Sanrio universe, with this premium figurine produced by Comansi. Standing approximately 16 cm tall, this piece offers a colourful interpretation of the character in a larger format than the brand’s classic figurines, designed for both display and collection.
The figurine captures Kuromi’s key distinguishing features in a colour scheme dominated by purple, pink and turquoise blue. Her famous hood with long points is adorned with the character’s signature pink skull, whilst her mischievous expression and rounded outfit reinforce the overall kawaii aesthetic. This edition has a softer, pastel look compared to Kuromi’s traditional black design.
Made from PVC, the figurine is part of Comansi’s 16 cm Premium collection, alongside models dedicated to Hello Kitty and My Melody, amongst others. It is presented in an illustrated display box that allows the character to remain visible without removing the figurine from its packaging.
Kuromi is a character created by Sanrio who made her debut in 2005. She presents herself as My Melody’s rival and is immediately recognisable by her spiked hood adorned with a pink skull, which has become her main visual trademark. Behind her rebellious appearance and penchant for playing pranks, however, Sanrio describes her as much more romantic and feminine than she appears.
Her birthday falls on 31 October, which naturally reinforces her association with Halloween and her mischievous aesthetic. Kuromi particularly enjoys keeping a diary, reading romance novels and has a marked preference for the colour black. She also leads a group of friends called Kuromi’s 5, with whom she shares her love of mischief and adventure.
This Comansi figurine captures the character’s essential traits whilst adapting them to a pastel palette of purple and pink, giving Kuromi a particularly kawaii look. She thus joins Comansi’s Premium collection dedicated to the characters from Hello Kitty and Friends, alongside Hello Kitty and My Melody.
