Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media as part of the Character Vocal Series. Her synthetic voice and distinctive appearance have inspired a large community of musicians, illustrators, animators and creators around the world.
Unlike a character tied to a single story, Miku can be reimagined across numerous visual universes. Artists regularly create new outfits, themes and seasonal identities for her, giving rise to a wide variety of songs, illustrations, concerts and collectables.
This Sourxuan Chinese New Year version is based on an original illustration celebrating the Chinese New Year. The red and gold outfit evokes the colours traditionally associated with the festivities, prosperity and New Year celebrations.
The figurine brings this illustration to life in three dimensions whilst retaining Hatsune Miku’s iconic silhouette. It is therefore a piece particularly suited to collectors seeking a festive, culturally rich and distinctive variation on her standard outfit.
