This Metallic Nano Puzzle kit from Tenyo allows you to assemble a metal replica of Char Aznable’s customised MS-06S Zaku II, one of the most iconic Mobile Suits from Mobile Suit Gundam. Once assembled, the model stands approximately 12.5 cm tall and features the famous red livery associated with the ‘Red Comet’. Unlike a traditional plastic model kit, its construction relies entirely on thin sheets of steel that have been precisely cut and engraved.
The various parts are made from sheets of steel approximately 0.2 mm thick. They must be cut out, folded and then interlocked using small tabs, following a principle similar to papercraft. No glue is required to assemble the model: the structure holds together thanks to the various folds and fixing points incorporated directly into the metal parts.
The finished model features the key visual elements of Char’s Zaku II: dark red armour, a command antenna on the helmet, a single eye on the forehead, a spiked left shoulder pad, a large shield on the right shoulder and segmented ducts around the torso and legs. It is depicted equipped with its Zaku Machine Gun, whilst the Heat Hawk is attached to the side of the unit.
The metallic surfaces feature numerous engravings depicting panel lines, joints, mechanical details and armour separations. The parts are pre-coloured in the various shades of red, black and metallic required to represent the MS-06S, allowing you to create a complete display piece without the need for painting.
The kit includes three metal sheets and an assembly guide. Once completed, the Zaku officially measures approximately 7.5 cm wide, 4 cm deep and 12.5 cm high. The manufacturer recommends this product for ages 15 and over due to the delicacy of the metal parts and the precision required for folding.

Origin and background of Char’s MS-06S Zaku II (Lore)
The MS-06S Zaku II is a command variant of the Zaku II used by the forces of the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. Char Aznable’s customised unit is immediately distinguishable from standard models by its red and pink colour scheme, as well as the antenna on its head, indicating its status as an officer’s unit.
Char Aznable is one of Zeon’s most feared pilots and becomes famous under the nickname ‘Red Comet’. His unit is specially tuned to prioritise mobility and rapid acceleration. In *Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin*, the thruster restrictors are notably removed to allow the Zaku to generate greater thrust than the standard model, at the cost of the machine becoming much more difficult to control.
Char’s Zaku II is equipped with the iconic weapons of this family of Mobile Suits, notably the Zaku Machine Gun and the Heat Hawk. Its asymmetrical design also features a spiked armour plate on the left shoulder and a large shield mounted on the right shoulder. These features give it an instantly recognisable silhouette, even without its famous red livery.
At the start of the One Year War, Char used his Zaku II in several engagements against the Earth Federation forces and found himself facing, in particular, the RX-78-2 Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray. The rivalry between Char and Amuro gradually becomes one of the main storylines of Mobile Suit Gundam, whilst their two mobile suits themselves become opposing icons of the franchise.
Char’s MS-06S thus remains one of the most famous variants of the Zaku II. This Metallic Nano Puzzle is a natural complement to the RX-78-2 Gundam available in the same Tenyo range, allowing you to bring together two of the original series’ most iconic Mobile Suits in the form of metal models.
