AyMax offers an officially licensed Goldorak bed linen set, designed for a double bed. The set comprises a 240 × 220 cm duvet cover and two 65 × 65 cm pillowcases, allowing you to incorporate the world of the famous giant robot into your bedroom décor.
The design features a predominantly white background against which Goldorak appears in action, surrounded by various vehicles and flying saucers directly inspired by the series. The robot’s red, blue and yellow colours stand out vividly against this light background. The two pillowcases are decorated with images from the series, whilst the Goldorak logo completes the main design.
The set is reversible: the reverse side features a repeating pattern of flying saucers and graphic elements linked to Goldorak.
Goldorak, known in Japan as UFO Robot Grendizer, is the giant robot piloted by Duke Fleed, known as Actarus in the original French version. Prince of the planet Fleed, he escapes the destruction of his world at the hands of the forces of Vega and finds refuge on Earth under the identity of Daisuke Umon. When the armies of Vega in turn threaten the planet, he takes the controls of Goldorak once more to face them.
Actarus is notably supported by Koji Kabuto, known in French as Alcor and already a hero from Mazinger Z. As the series progresses, other allies join the fight, including Duke Fleed’s sister, Maria Grace Fleed. Together, they battle the troops and machines sent by the Vega Empire to conquer Earth.
The original series, produced by Toei Animation, comprises 74 episodes, which were broadcast in Japan from 5 October 1975 to 27 February 1977. It went on to enjoy considerable international success, particularly in France and Italy, where Goldorak became one of the most recognisable figures in Japanese animation of that period.
